Anti-Oppressive Clinical Supervision

I offer individual clinical supervision to counselling interns, qualifying psychotherapists and registered psychotherapists who would like to center their therapy practice on an anti-oppressive and decolonized framework, using a compassion-focused approach. Supervision is a place for both of us to explore, learn, support and collaborate in a respectful and empowering one-on-one environment to ensure that you can ethically meet your clients’ therapeutic needs.

Supervision will focus on:

  • Case conceptualization from an anti-oppressive framework
  • Use of self in session, with an awareness for social location and privilege
  • Ensuring client safety using a systems and ethical approach
  • Developing your therapy style and identity
  • Establishing a sustainable and supported therapy practice to minimize therapist burnout

I am a Registered Psychotherapist with 13 years of clinical experience in diverse work environments including community organizations, private practice and universities. I obtained my MA in counselling psychology from University of Toronto, with a focus on inclusive and culturally-competent therapy. I use an eclectic style of trauma-informed therapy in my practice, weaving interventions from various approaches to meet the clients’ needs. I currently sit on the DEI Working Group at the CRPO. I currently meet the requirements for a CRPO clinical supervisor due to my participation in the Wilfred Laurier University’s Certificate for Clinical Supervision.
